Nick Murphy & Bonobo Drop Their Collab Track ‘No Reason’ (UPDATED)

UPDATE 11/01/17: Bonobo and Nick Murphy have now released the studio version of ‘No Reason’, which you can stream in full below.

ORIGINAL STORY: Australia’s very own Nick Murphy (FKA Chet Faker) is set to appear on a forthcoming new album from British producer Bonobo, and the pair have just shared a sneaky in-studio video of themselves bringing their first-ever collaborative track to life.

Murphy appears on a track called ‘No Reason’ on Bonobo’s new record Migration, and footage of the song’s creation (filmed in September 2016 in Brooklyn, New York) sees the pair knock out some takes for the track, including a bunch of vocals from Murphy and some new beats from Bonobo.

Murphy and his m9 Bonobo made a two-hour mix together late last year, and that was pretty impressive in itself, but since we’re edging ever closer to hearing the full studio version of ‘No Reason’, there’s no reason not to be excited.

Murphy is preparing to release a new album of his own this year, and is set to perform at Laneway Festival in February. He’s also got a collab with Kaytranada dropping “soon”.

Meanwhile, Bonobo’s Migration is set for release this Friday, 13th January. Watch Bonobo and Murphy preview their collaborative track ‘No Reason’, below.
