PREMIERE: Stream Sunhaus’ Enchanting Debut EP ‘About Yesterday’

Brisbane quartet Sunhaus trade in sun-kissed harmonies and delicate, honest lyricism, both present in spades on their debut EP About Yesterday which we’re thrilled to be premiering here today.

Featuring previously released singles ‘Realignment’ and ‘Bobby’ as well as three more charming, heartfelt and melancholic alt-rock tracks, About Yesterday sees the band deal with challenging universal themes, handling them with compassion and grace.

Explains vocalist Aidan Geraghty, the inspirations behind the EP were vast. “Being really gay, dropping caramel tarts face-down, going in and out of hospital… Wondering what people get out of staying in relationships when they want to leave and just trying to feel normal in this very weird stage of your ’20s.”

“We put a lot of work into About Yesterday,” adds band member Adela Lau. “We raised our beautiful baby and experienced much of its temperamental adolescence. Now that it’s fully grown, we are happy for it to leave the fucking house, experience the world, and have the world experience some of the vibrational treasures that came from some pretty dire stories. This EP is one that we hope people can look to as an emotional outlet for themselves, just as we did.”

Sunhaus will take their EP on tour in early February, playing intimate venues in Wollongong, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. Give the EP a spin and see tour dates below.
