This 8-Bit Beyoncé Game ‘Lemonade Rage’ Recreates The Video For ‘Hold Up’

Although the 2017 Grammys are done and dusted, there are plenty who are still wondering how on God’s green earth Beyoncé didn’t manage to take away the award for album of the year.

That honour went to Adele, who ironically couldn’t even understand “what the fuck” Bey would need to do to win album of the year if she couldn’t take the Grammy for Lemonade.

Fear not though, your anger at the decision need not go repressed or unused. As Pigeons and Planes reports, a team of game developers have created a free 8-bit online video game called Lemonade Rage which they’ve described as “classy and refined but badass and explosive. Just like Bey.”

The game recreates the video clip for ‘Hold Up’ and allows you to become Beyoncé and walk through the street smashing cars and Illuminati conspirators. “When we first saw Beyonce’s whole Lemonade video we were blown away, especially by the ‘Hold Up’ video,” the developers told Pigeons & Planes.

“The more we thought about the video, we started to realize how it could make for a pretty sick video game.”

The clip is also accompanied by a pretty awesome 8-bit digital version of the track ‘Hold Up’.

Check out some screenshots from the game, and play it for yourself here.
