Deftones’ Chino Moreno Is Working On New Music With Skrillex & Incubus

Last month we heard that Skrillex was collaborating on Incubus’ forthcoming new album 8, and now it appears that Deftones frontman Chino Moreno is also working on a project with the dubstep maestro and Incubus’ Michael Einziger and Brandon Boyd.

A new photo arose on Einziger’s Twitter feed yesterday, of Moreno and the group of musicians standing around a studio mic.

Meanwhile, MixMag points out that a bunch of Skrillex’s Snapchats of Moreno recording in the studio have been collated into a video on YouTube, which you can watch below.

In addition to all of this, Skrillex uploaded a snippet of what sounds like an unreleased Incubus track, which could well be the final version of his collab for the record.

Whether Moreno is actually collaborating on the album is anyone’s guess, but there’s undoubtedly enough here to suggest that some strange project is on the way involving all of these guys.

8 is set for release on Friday, 21st April.
