PREMIERE: IV League Serve Up New Indie Pop Jam ‘Sylvia’

Melbourne alt-rockers IV League have today served up their first tasty morsel of new music for 2017, and we at Music Feeds are stoked to be hosting the premiere of the rollicking new single ‘Sylvia’.

‘Sylvia’ is a feel-good slice of guitar-driven, indie pop goodness, with IV League putting their unique spin on ’90s-era alt-rock via jangly guitar hooks, rolling percussion and Bella Venutti’s punchy vocals. Not to mention that captivating falsetto.

It’s a song that would sit perfectly on the soundtrack of a ’90s coming of age movie. One of those scenes where the protagonist hops in an old convertible down a highway, wind in their hair and they attempt to escape from life’s problems. All wrapped up with a lyrical nod to Sylvia Plath.

“We recorded ‘Sylvia’ last year in the same session as our previous single, and after sitting on for what feels like forever, we couldn’t be more excited to have it out in the world and finally start playing it live,” IV League tell Music Feeds.

Fans will get their chance to witness IV League bring ‘Sylvia’ to the stage at the single launch show in Melbourne this April as well as on tour with Ali Barter.

‘Sylvia’ will be available on iTunes and Spotify March 31st, but you can give it a listen right now here!
