Lorde was a hot contender for this year’s Splendour In The Grass lineup, but now that the huge roster has been unveiled, fans are having feelings about the Kiwi pop idol not being announced for the festival.
Earlier this month, Lorde revealed that she’d be touring Australia “sooner than people think”, which led us at Music Feeds to put her in the ‘Likely’ category for a spot on this year’s Splendour lineup.
But, alas, this year’s festival will be a Lorde-free zone, and fans who were pumped for her return down under are currently venting on social media…
Australia is robbed of @lorde why aren't you playing splendour?! Ur making me so upset.

Meanwhile, others are having flashbacks to that time Lorde replaced Frank Ocean on the Splendour In The Grass lineup back in 2013…
Is Lorde being kept to fill in at the last minute ?? ??

so is the rule that someone else has to drop off before Lorde can jump on?

…and others are trying to stay hopeful:
I bet Lorde is doing some massive tour or something and that's why she's not doing Splendour

Lorde is preparing to drop her highly anticipated second album Melodrama on 16th June, so don’t be surprised if she announces an Aussie headline tour at some point after the album drops.
In the meantime, peep the 2017 Splendour lineup here, and stay patient as we wait for that green light.
