There’s A New Gorillaz TV Show & Clothing Line In The Works

Just weeks out from the arrival of their much-frothed comeback album Humanz, Gorillaz seem deadset on a full-on Planet Of The Apes style world takeover.

Not only will the cartoon punk monkeys be all up in our ears once their new LP drops, they’ll also be on our TV screens and all over our bods, with one of the evil geniuses behind the band AKA Jamie Hewlett revealing that a new Gorillaz-themed clothing line and 10-episode TV series all about the band are both in the works.

Speaking with  Q magazine, Hewlett also revealed that new artwork, tour merchandise and visuals were also coming down the pipe.

The news comes right after Gorillaz announced a handful of creepy “spirit house” interactive art installation pop-ups at locations across the globe (sadly none in Australia yet though. C’mon, guys cut us some slack).

Check out their latest single, a sinister and epic super-collab with soul kween Mavis Staples and hip-hop king Pusha T dubbed  ‘Let Me Out’ below (and prepare to have to sleep with the nightlight on tonight), and get your ears on Gorillaz’s new LP when it drops on Friday, 28th April.
