Feather Jam Ministry Father John Misty has capped off the release of his new album Pure Comedy by sharing a perfectly bonkers music video for album cut ‘Total Entertainment Forever’.
The video stars actor Macaulay Culkin as late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, who ends up being crucified by McDonald’s-esque corporate hacks (include Josh Tillman, aka Father John Musty), and it all takes place within a virtual reality headset being worn by George Washington, who’s just swallowed some Viagra.
There’s an appearance from ‘Garfield’ character Jon Arbuckle for some reason, and he also ends up being crucified. Watch the amazing technicolour fever-dream in its entirety, below.
The clip was directed by act collective Four Gods and a Baby, which includes Culkin, Adam Green, Thomas Bayne and Toby Goodshank.
Father John Misty will head to Australia in July for Splendour In The Grass, as well as two festival sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne.
