Big Pineapple Music Festival 2017 Lineup Expands

The lineup for Queensland’s 2017 Big Pineapple Music Festival has expanded once again, with the addition of a band that’s partly named after this beautiful creature…

The humble Bin Chicken.

That’s right — Sunshine Coast “garage groove” four-piece Fight Ibis have joined this year’s Big Pineapple lineup, after winning a triple j Unearthed competition to perform at the festival.

The band, who describe their music as being “filled with mellow gold tinged jazz, inspired hints of psyche funk and alt rock”, join the likes of Birds Of Tokyo, Peking Duk, SAFIA, Northlane and Cloud Control on this year’s roster, which will hit up Woombye in May.

Catch the full lineup alongside Fight Ibis’ video for ‘Dorothy Deadleg’ and all the festival ticket details, below.
