Your Zombie M8s Regurgitator Are Playing A Huge ‘Unit’ Anniversary Gig Just For Gamers

Dear nerds, while you’re attending the annual bulk LAN party that is the EB Games Expo this year, you’ll also be treated to a special one-off gig from Aussie “nerd rock” legends (turned flesh-eating zombies?) Regurgitator.

The ‘gurge will be performing their earth-shatteringly awesome second album Unit in full in a one-off performance alongside Art Vs Science and Britpop gamers 7Bit Hero to launch this year’s Gold Coast event, which also happens to be turning the big 2-0.

The opening night spectacular, dubbed Unit20, marks EB’s foray into live music events and will go down at the Gold Coast Convention Centre on Friday, 6th October serving up “an all encompassing audiovisual experience for all music and gaming fans”.

“Showgoers will be saturated by over 200sqm of visual effects combining the latest 4K projection technology, LED screen and a state-of-the-art 3D effects,” spruiks an official press statement. “There will also be more than 100 moving and static lighting fixtures used in conjunction with visual effects to create an amazing sensory experience that will leave the audience pixelated.”

While Event Manager Trent Weekes adds: “We are thrilled to be launching this year’s EB Expo with our first-ever concert in Unit20. Regurgitator is one of the country’s most iconic rock bands of all time and we are super proud to be partnering with them to celebrate the 20th anniversary of both our event and their album Unit.

“We’re also thrilled to be featuring Art vs. Science and 7Bit Hero who have gained a huge following with young gamers.”
