Watch An Emotional Dave Mustaine Deliver A Heartfelt Tribute To Chris Cornell

Like you and I, Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine is still coming to terms with the shock loss of legendary Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell.

The grunge pioneer and vocal powerhouse’s death at the age of just 52 has been ruled as a suicide, leaving his family, friends and fans struggling to come to grips.

And Megadeth’s fiery frontman wasn’t in the mood to suffer any fools who dared to interrupt his heartfelt words about his departed friend at a gig in Japan last night, shouting at one rude “asshole” to STFU before proclaiming:

“We have lost one of the most beautiful voices in rock history and I don’t even know what to say other than that we’re going to dedicate this next song to you, our friends in Tokyo, because we’re here with you and we want to celebrate Chris’ life.”

He then dropped a disclaimer that his own singing voice could never compare to Cornell’s (truth) before his band of thrashlords launched into a rendition of Soundgarden’s classic ‘Outshined’ in honour of their fallen hero.
