Pre-order WIM’s self-titled debut with bonus tracks

Set to release their debut self-titled LP on Modular this Friday May 27th longtime Music Feeds favourites (the comments here are pretty funny if you’re looking to waste some time) WIM have just let slip to us that they are offering some sneaky pre-order deals before the album is officially released. If you order a physical copy you’ll receive a signed copy, with those downloaders out there getting a few bonus tracks added for your effort.

Having risen from the Sydney music scene after starting out in 2008, WIM’s debut is the culmination of over three years of hard work in the rehearsal space, in the studio and on stage. Produced by highly regarded local producer Tony Buchen who’s worked with the likes of Neil Finn, The Whitlams and Sarah Blasko and mixed by industry legend Bob Clearmountain (Bruce Springsteen, Roxy Music, INXS), the album is an at times haunting, at times jubilant mixture of influences swerving between The Beatles, Rufus Wainwright, Radiohead and Grizzly Bear.

Surely one of the most accomplished up-and-coming bands to have emerged from Sydney in recent years, WIM are a band well worth your support. Here’s the video for the lead single from the album, See You Hurry in case you missed it.

WIM’s self titled debut album will be released on Friday May 27th on Modular Records.
