Katy Perry Fuels Aussie Tour Rumours By Announcing Surprise Trip Down Under

UPDATE: Katy Perry has now announced a set of new Australian tour dates for 2018.

ORIGINAL STORY: Katy Perry has announced that she’ll return to Australia later this month for a short promotional tour, which will include a performance on The Voice Australia.

The pop megastar will arrive in Sydney in a few weeks’ time, and rumours are abound that she might announce a full-blown Aussie tour while she’s down under, especially given that she last toured Australia in 2014 as part of her ‘Prismatic World Tour’.

What’s more, Perry has already promised to turn up the Aussie-ness when she arrives down under, saying (via News Corp Australia), “I want to witness you, Australia. We’re going to have some beer, some meat pies and some Tim Tams, and, oh yeah, talk about some new songs.”

Perry just performed alongside Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus and a number of other stars at the ‘One Love Manchester’ benefit concert at the weekend.

Her latest album, Witness, is out this Friday, 9th June. Watch the video for album cut ‘Bon Appétit’ alongside her video message to Aussie fans, below.
