Corey Taylor Says Slipknot Are About To Release A New “Live Thing”

Corey Taylor has opened up about an upcoming Slipknot release, after the band teased a big “announcement” that’s set to take place in the coming days.

Earlier this week, Slipknot sent maggots everywhere into overdrive by sharing a video of actual maggots alongside the caption “Soon”, and now their frontman has shed light on what fans can expect.

Speaking with Music Feeds today, Taylor said, “[The teaser] is about something that we were planning to release, and we’ve kind of been building up towards it. It’s a live thing, and that’s all I’ll say.”

Slipknot are expected to make their announcement — which definitely looks like it’ll be a live album — at 3am AEST this Saturday, 10th June, which is when a countdown timer on their website will reach zero.

As for Taylor, he’ll be back in Australia this August to tour the east coast with his other band, Stone Sour.

Stay tuned for Music Feeds‘ full interview with Corey Taylor, coming soon.
