Slipknot Want 5SOS To Play At Knotfest, Says Corey Taylor

Last year, Slipknot revealed that they wanted to bring their festival Knotfest to Australia and it looks like they might have an Australian band in their sights to play.

The festival has seen everyone from Slayer to Korn take to the stage but they’re looking at getting 5 Seconds Of Summer for one of their next stops.

Frontman Corey Taylor told The Music that he’d met the drummer Ashton Irwin and, “he’s a big Slipknot fan.”

“So we were gonna get them for Knotfest one year. We were thinking about it. Fuck yeah.”

The band haven’t been locked in for it just yet but Taylor said, “we’re still doing it.”

Taylor has expressed his love for the band once before. Back in 2015, he told Rolling Stone that they were, “really, really cool guys.”

As of yet, there’s no certainty of when the festival will make its way down-under or whether he will try and book the Aussie band for it but it would be, well, interesting.
