Starset Just Announced Their First-Ever Australian Tour

US alt-rockers Starset have announced their first-ever Australian tour, which will see them tour the country in support of their latest album Vessels later this year.

Led by frontman and founding member Dustin Bates, the helmeted-and-pressure-suited Starset will play venues in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide this August, including a number of all-ages shows. Peep all the dates and ticket details, below.

Bates spoke to Music Feeds about Vessels earlier this year, describing the album as having “a more human element” than the band’s debut full-length release, 2014’s Transmissions.

“I hope that people, regardless of this narrative, which might be overwhelming for some people, I hope it can connect with people on an emotional level without the extraneous things and people can just listen to the music for what it is,” he said.

“On top of that, there’s various sonic differences. I’ve pushed a lot further into various other genres. I wanted to bring more breadth, more depth to this record and hopefully, I achieved it.”
