Daft Punk Just Co-Wrote A New Song With This Young Aussie Band

In a very surprising move, electronic music icons Daft Punk have collaborated with a rising Australian act on their new single, co-writing and producing the song with the band of 19-year-olds from Byron Bay.

Aussie-raised, Berlin-based outfit Parcels wrote their new single ‘Overnight’ with Daft Punk’s Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, before the French duo produced the song earlier this year in Paris, France.

The warm, ‘Get Lucky’-esque track features Parcels’ smooth funk vibes and vocals, all wrapped up in Daft Punk’s crystal clear production and that Nile Rodgers guitar tone that Daft Punk love so very, very much.

Parcels first caught the eye ear of Daft Punk at a Paris club in 2016, and have previously played sets at Falls Festival and Woodford Folk Festival here at home, so stay on the lookout for bigger things to come.

‘Overnight’, which you can stream in full below, follows Parcels’ debut EP Hideout.
