Aussie rockers DZ Deathrays have returned with their first new single in almost a year, and it’s appropriately titled ‘Shred For Summer’.
Backed by their signature riffage, the newie is the first track from the duo since last year’s single ‘Pollyanna’.
“For a long time I’ve wanted to write a song that is just about my love of playing guitar, this is the closest thing we have made to that,” says frontman Shane Parsons.
‘Shred For Summer’ will likely appear on a “beast” of a new album from DZ Deathrays, which is still without an official title or release date.
The pair have also been spotted recording with The Presets and Dune Rats of late, so we could be in for something huge.
DZ Deathrays will perform at Snowtunes Festival and Shakafest later this year. Until then, you can watch the official video for ‘Shred For Summer’, below.
