Did The National Just Tease A New Australian Tour?

UPDATE: The National have now announced a set of 2018 Australian tour dates.

ORIGINAL STORY: The National have shared an ~ interesting ~ video on their socials today, which has Aussie fans thinking they could be about to announce a new Australian tour.

The band have shared a short video from their performance on the Sydney Opera House Forecourt back in 2014, captioned solely by the Australian flag emoji. It’s either a strangely timed flashback to that show just for nostalgia’s sake, or a hint that something big is still to come.

Check out the video in full alongside footage of the entire concert it comes from, below.

The National toured Australia in 2014 after releasing their album Trouble Will Find Me in 2013, and are preparing to release their new album Sleep Well Beast on 8th September.

They’ve already scheduled a bunch of tour dates across the US and Europe between September and December, so if they are preparing to announce new Aussie shows, they’d most probably have to be in 2018.

Stay tuned to Music Feeds to see if the band do (or don’t) announce anything juicy for Aussie fans.
