Fall Out Boy are back with another single off their delayed forthcoming album M A N I A.
‘The Last Of The Real Ones’ (below) may be the heaviest drop from the album to date, suggesting they’re heading back in a pop-punk direction after deviating slightly with the first single from the album, ‘Young & Menace’, which hinted that at an electronic aesthetic — but ‘Champion’ and ‘The Last Of The Real Ones’ all but confirm it was an experiment.
Along with the release of the new song, Pete Wentz has shared a note saying it’s about “the kind of love you feel for someone because of their glitches not in spite of them”.
M A N I A was originally slated to be out tomorrow, but it has since been pushed back to 19th January because “it felt very rushed”, according to frontman Patrick Stump.
Fall Out Boy will tour Australia the month after the album is released.
