Fans React To Justin Timberlake’s Appearance On The New Foo Fighters Album

On Friday, Foo Fighters released their new album Concrete And Gold which features an unlikely collaboration with Justin Timberlake.

Dave Grohl teased a collaboration with “the biggest pop star in the world” and revealed it to be Timberlake just before the album release. Now fans have had a chance to hear the collab on ‘Make It Right’ and so far the reviews are pretty mixed.

While Timberlake usually operates in the R&B/pop sphere, he comes completely into the Foo Fighters’ rock world for ‘Make It Right’, delivering backup vocals over raucous guitars and drums. His contribution is confined to backup vocals but his presence is, nonetheless, recognised.

The collab came about because Timberlake was recording in the same studio at the time and asked Grohl if he could sing on the album. The band has put the whole story of how the album came to be in an incredible animated video which you can also watch below.

Timberlake shared the video and wrote, “Fun times being part of this.”

Fan reactions so far range between shock and delight. You can view a selection of them and have a listen to the song for yourself below.
