Linkin Park Announce First Show Since Chester Bennington’s Death

Linkin Park have announced their first show since the tragic death of their frontman Chester Bennington in July this year.

The special one-night-only concert will be in honour of the late singer, and will take place at Los Angeles’ iconic Hollywood Bowl on Friday, 27th October.

Linkin Park will be joined by other artists and friends “for an unforgettable night of music to honour the man that touched the lives of so many around the world”.

Linkin Park played their final show with Bennington back in Birmingham, England on 6th July. The singer was laid to rest at a private funeral later that month, after dying by suicide.

Alongside today’s concert announcement, Linkin Park have also shared an emotional new music video for their song ‘One More Light’, which chronicles Bennington’s time with the band.

Speaking about the video, Linkin Park’s Dave ‘Phoenix’ Farrell says, “This is my favorite video we’ve ever made, and simultaneously the hardest for me to watch.”

Last month, Linkin Park released their first statement on the future of the band, suggesting that they could continue on without Bennington.
