Nelly Says He’s “Completely Innocent” After Rape Allegations

US rapper Nelly has defended himself he was arrested for allegedly raping a woman on his tour bus.

As TMZ report, Nelly was arrested this weekend on suspicion of second-degree rape.

It allegedly happened on a tour bus in the US following a show at White River Amphitheatre in Washington.

Nelly took to social media to deny the claims saying that he’s “completely innocent”.

“I am confident that once the facts are looked at, it will be very clear that I am the victim of a false allegation,” he wrote.

He further clarified that he has not been “charged”. It is, however, “pending further investigation.”

His manager further denied the claims to TMZ saying, “Nelly is the victim of a completely fabricated allegation.”

“Our initial investigation, clearly establishes the allegation is devoid of credibility and is motivated by greed and vindictiveness. I am confident, once the scurrilous accusation is thoroughly investigated, there will be no charges.”

Following the news of the allegations, a video, below, emerged of Nelly flirting with an underage fan at the show in Washington. At one point in the video he runs his hands through the fan’s hair.

Nelly is due to play more shows on his tour with Florida Georgia Line this week.
