Download Festival Promoter Reportedly Confirms Event Is Coming To Australia In 2018

UPDATE: Korn, Limp Bizkit, Prophets Of Rage & More For Download Festival Australia

ORIGINAL STORY: Download Festival promoter Andy Copping has reportedly confirmed that the festival will make its Australian debut in Melbourne in 2018, after the event’s Australian website momentarily went live last week.

Copping has reportedly confirmed to IQ that the festival is still going ahead, despite the disappearance of the website, which featured an image which spelled Melbourne incorrectly:

Touring giant Live Nation purchased the Australian domain name for Download Festival last year, and the website went live (before later being taken down) last Friday morning.

The festival’s maiden Aussie lineup is yet to be announced, but you can check out the gallery below for a list of acts we think could end up on the roster. Meanwhile, System Of A Down were even named in code within the previously live Download Festival Australia website.

Music Feeds first broke news of Download Festival’s plans for Australia last year.
