A new tribute album to the Muppets is in the pipeline, and will feature songs from artists such as Paramore‘s Hayley Williams, Weezer and Amy Lee of Evanescence.
The album will be called The Green Album, and will be available as of August 23 in the US according to NME.com. The album is designed to precede new film The Muppets, due for release in early 2012.
Weezer and Williams have recorded a duet of Rainbow Connection, while Lee has contributed a cover of Halfway Down The Stairs. In addition, Alkaline Trio have done a new version of Moving Right Along.
