Watch Guns N’ Roses Cover AC/DC’s ‘Whole Lotta Rosie’ In Tribute Of Malcolm Young

Guns N’ Roses have paid tribute to AC/DC’s Malcolm Young during a concert in Sacramento, dedicating covers of Whole Lotta Rosie and Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door to the rock pioneer who died this weekend.

The band introduced Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door with a picture of Young behind them, before following it with AC/DC’s Whole Lotta Rosie.

“We’re gonna dedicate this to Mr. Malcolm Young who will be sorely missed by none more than his brother Angus,” they said.

They later posted a video of the intro on social media with the caption, “This goes out to Malcolm Young. He will be sorely missed.”

Guns N’ Roses have covered Whole Lotta Rosie many times in the past. Rose has also had the chance to perform it with AC/DC. Last year, he filled in for Brian Johnson as AC/DC’s lead-singer on tour, although Malcolm had already left the band two years prior to that.

Brother Angus Young has also joined Guns N’ Roses on-stage during their recent tour, including in Sydney earlier this year.

Tributes have been flowing for Young since news of his death was reported by his family. Ozzy Osbourne, Def Leppard and Dave Grohl have all shared memories and tributes.

Foo Fighters also covered Let There Be Rock during a show in Mexico this weekend.
