Gaten Matarazzo who plays Dustin in Netflix show Stranger Things has started a band called Work In Progress and they’re already playing shows.
The band started an Instagram page just four days ago and have now started uploading live videos of covers.
They’ve taken on ‘The Middle’ by Jimmy Eats World and ‘Porch’ by Pearl Jam, two songs that were released before Matarazzo was even born. ‘Porch’ is one of their “favourites” while ‘The Middle’ is a, “high quality jam,” according to their Instagram.
The six-piece band also includes Matarazzo’s sister showing that the talent runs deep in the family.
He’s not the only musically-inclined member of the Stranger Things cast. Finn Wolfhard, AKA. Mike, has expressed his desire to release an album and earlier this year he played guitar while riding on Mac DeMarco’s shoulders.
The second season of Stranger Things premiered earlier this year with a huge 15.8 million people reportedly tuning into the first episode within the first 15 days of its release.
Now that word is out about Matarazzo’s band, their audiences are going to continue to get better. Maybe he can add rockstar to his already impressive resumé.
