We’ve got a new Tool album update and it might be the most promising yet.
Guitarist Adam Jones has given an update and it actually sounds like we could finally get the album this year.
During an Instagram livestream captured by someone on Reddit, Jones said that the “music is done” and “lyrics [are] coming in hard”.
Last year, the band said that the album was 90 per cent done and then drummer Danny Carey said that it will be released this year.
Frontman Maynard James Keenan responded to those claims on Twitter by simply writing “burp” so maybe he’ll respond to this latest update similarly but it definitely sounds promising.
The band is set to play two festivals in the US in May so maybe if we’re lucky they will roll out some new music then.
Keeping in mind that we’re talking about Tool though, literally anything is possible. It’s now been 12 years since they released their last album 10,000 Days.
