Solange Announces Australian Tour Dates For Vivid LIVE 2018

UPDATE: Vivid Sydney’s Huge 2018 Music Lineup Is Finally Here

ORIGINAL STORY: Solange Knowles has announced a set of exclusive Australian shows as part of the 2018 edition of Sydney’s Vivid LIVE festival.

The singer, songwriter, artist and activist will be performing her critically acclaimed 2016 album A Seat At The Table down under for the very first time, at four shows in the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall this June.

Backed by dancers on a 360-degree stage, the performances will mark her Sydney Opera House debut, and are her only scheduled Aussie shows for 2018.

“Solange’s brilliance in combining spectacular performance with politically-charged music to create a precisely choreographed, fun and riveting neo-soul show, points to the future of R&B,” says Sydney Opera House Head of Contemporary Music and Vivid LIVE Curator, Ben Marshall.

“She is the perfect artist, in every sense of the word, to occupy centre-stage at Vivid LIVE, this year celebrating 10 years of ambitious and rigorous contemporary music taking over the Sydney Opera House.”

Tickets to Solange’s Vivid LIVE shows will be sold via a ballot, much like The Opera House has previously done for shows by Morrissey, Kraftwerk and ANOHNI. Peep all the details down below.

The full Vivid LIVE 2018 program will be announced in mid-March.

Unsuccessful applicants will not receive a link to purchase, however will be notified in the event of a later release of tickets.
