ORIGINAL STORY: In case you didn’t know, Orange Is The New Back fave Lea DeLaria AKA ‘Big Boo’ also uses her talented tongue for singing jazz.
She’s coming down under next month to appear on Netflix’s float in the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, but she’s already decided to make a return trip in June to perform for her Sydney fans.
DeLaria has announced an exclusive gig at the City Recital Hall for Saturday, 9th June, where she’ll be performing a combined music and comedy routine.
“Known for her frank outspoken politics and big personality, DeLaria is not one to shy away from comedy that will bite hard and elicit gales of laughter,” a statement from the venue reads.
“Her new show features hits from her latest album ‘House Of David: delaria+bowie=jazz’, and shows off not just DeLaria’s comic genius but her spectacular vocal range in songs such as ‘Fame’, ‘Young Americans’ and ‘Let’s Dance’.
