Every Song On Tool’s Forthcoming Album Is Reportedly 10 Minutes Long

Tool have offered some more insight into that long-awaited fifth album that seems to be finally coming together.

Guitarist Adam Jones, drummer Danny Carey, and bass player Justin Chancellor have headed out on a tour where they are giving fans an intimate insight into their classic songs.

During the Q&A section of the evening, the band was expectedly asked about the new album and they revealed a few things.

According to Reddit, the band revealed that every song on the new album is over 10 minutes long.

The album is coming together slowly too. The drum parts are already tracked with Chancellor planning to track his bass parts after their festival appearances over the next few months. Maynard James Keenan’s vocals will be tracked last.

The only new music fans at the event were treated to was a segue by Carey that a version of will be included on the album.

“Danny’s new segue is him getting the modular synth going along with some politically charged vocal sample in the beginning and jamming a drum solo along with it,” a Reddit user said about it.

Still no word yet on when to expect the album. For the moment we’re going to have to cling to the unreleased song ‘Descending’ that they dropped last month.
