Sydney Emo Party AM//PM Announces Debut East Coast Tour With Killer Pop-Punk Lineup

Dear Diary,

Is your mood apathetic? Do you feel like your life is spiralling downward? Could you not get enough money to go to the Blood Red Romance and Suffocate Me Dry concert or get your hair to do that flippy thing like that guy from that band can do?

Well good news!

Sydney’s beloved monthly emo party AM//PM is hitting the road to become a fully fledged East Coast club tour!! And it’s bringing a killer pop-punk lineup along for its maiden interstate voyage!

Fresh off being announced for Neck Deep’s 2018 Australian tour, Melbourne’s Between You & Me will be headlining the three-date sob story, with support from Sydney’s Yours Truly and a rotating lineup of local supports opening the shows in each state.

The sad party will be hitting venues in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne across late June/early July in its landmark East Coast expansion.

Speaking with Music Feeds, promoter Tom Milgate says he’s been blown away by the fan response to the emo club night, which launched just over a year ago.

“When we started Sydney we wanted to kind of break the mould of what these nights had to be, so we went in with no rules and with the idea what we wanted to just throw parties for the music we love,” he says.

“Sydney is essentially selling out every month and we wanted to expand the brand without having to move out of our home at the Burdekin, so going to Melbourne and Brisbane and showing them what our night is all about is the next step for us,” he continues.

“We just want to bring good local bands in and give them a platform where they can play to a packed room, but also give kids a night where they can see bands, have a drink with friends party with people they idolise, sing until they have no voice left and dance all night with people who enjoy the same music as they do.”

The news is bound to dry the eyeliner-streaked tears of Melbourne scene kids, who were just dealt the crushing blow that their alternative nightclub stalwart Bang! is ending after 12 years of mosh-inducing mayhem.

So brush that pink-streaked fringe out of your eyes, grab your sister’s mascara and keep your hands away from sharp objects because tickets are on sale now!
