Man Dies At Bonnaroo Festival

A man has been found dead at Bonnaroo Music And Arts Festival in the US.

As NME reports, the 35-year-old’s body was discovered by festival-goers inside his car on the second morning of the 2018 event (June 8). They reported that the car was running and the heat was on at the time.

After finding the man unresponsive, the festival-goers immediately contacted medical staff to assist, but the man was soonafter pronounced dead by the Coffee County Medical Examiner’s office.

A spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Department says a cause of death has not yet been confirmed at this stage and the case remains under investigation, however foul play is not suspected.

Local news station WKRN reports that the man has been identified as Michael Craddock Jr. from Mt. Juliet, and his body has been sent to Nashville for an autopsy.

In a statement, Bonnaroo organisers said: “The safety of our patrons is our highest priority and our sympathies go out to his family and friends”.

The 17th annual instalment off Bonaroo kicked off in Manchester, Tennessee on Thursday, with a bill headlined by Eminem, The Killers, and Muse and also featuring the likes of Paramore, Dua Lipa, Future, Rag’n’Bone Man and Alt-J.

The tragedy marks the first death at the festival since 2015.
