PREMIERE: Simpsons-Goes-Pop-Punk Mastermind Dan Cribb Returns With New Original Single ‘Run Away’

Dan Cribb, the mastermind behind Australia’s beloved Worst Tribute Ever all-star Simpsons pop punk cover series, has returned with a new OG tune with his project, The Isolated.

The group’s freshie is dubbed ‘Run Away’ and, what it lacks in Springfield references, it makes up for in upbeat, bittersweet pop-punk energy and current era Blink-182 vibes.

The Simpsons tribute was initially just intended as a bit of fun and an excuse to work with some old friends and artists I really admire, but it turned into serious lessons on songwriter and performance,” Cribb explains adding that, ironically, working on the Simpsons project made him feel a sense of isolation that in turn gave birth to ‘Run Away’.

“A lot my close friends started moving away from Perth around the same time, which was a real shock to the system, but taught me a lot about myself in a weird way,” the singer tells us.

“It was while I was battling those anxieties that I wrote this song, which sort of helped me work through everything and realise how important certain relationships are.”

‘Run Away’ marks the Cribb’s first original song since his 2015 split release with Alkaline Trio’s Derek Grant.

Catch it premiering exclusively via Music Feeds below, with the group’s hometown live launch happening at new Perth venue, Hell Hole, on July 21st (more details can be found via their official Facebook Page).
