Here’s The First Setlist From The Smashing Pumpkins’ Reunion Tour

The Smashing Pumpkins have finally played their first proper reunion show since the announcement of their ‘Shiny And Oh So Bright’ tour, but it came with a twist.

They announced a secret show less than 24 hours before it began, at Los Angeles’ Troubadour — a venue with a capacity of 400 — and limited tickets were sold at USD $19.79 apiece. Nice, Corgan, nice.

While the ticket price certainly isn’t indicative of what to expect on the upcoming tour, the setlist, however, might be.

Marking one of the first times that Billy Corgan, guitarist James Iha and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin have played publicly together since 2000, the band truly brought out the hits for this secret gig, including the likes of ‘Zero’, ‘Today’ and ‘Tonight, Tonight’.

The setlist is a little different to the one Corgan has previously proposed, but still very much delivers.

On top of that, the band covered Joy Division’s ‘Transmission’ as part of the encore, with the help of AFI frontman Davey Havok.

While phones and cameras were reportedly collected at the door, because this is 2018, photos and videos of the exclusive performance have surfaced online. See below.

The performance comes after Pumpkins’ appearance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’, where they performed their classic ‘Zero’ as well as new single ‘Solara’.

There’s no word of an Australian tour yet, but we’re remaining hopeful.
