Pond Drop New, Eight-Minute Track ‘Burnt Out Star’

Perth psych-rockers Pond have dropped their first new music since 2017, in the form of the eight-minute long ‘Burnt Out Star’.

True to form, ‘Burnt Out Star’ is Pond taking the listener on a sonic journey, as it traverses realms of modern electro/R&B fusion and their quintessential brand of psychedelic pop.

The song is the first bit of new music we’ve heard from Nicholas Allbrook, Jay Watson and co. since they released their widely acclaimed 2017 album The Weather.

While the band did announce a North American tour to coincide with the song’s release, they’ve yet to announce anything for Australia or even a new album. They haven’t toured Australia since late 2017, but with this new music we can assume that some more Australian Pond shows are right around the corner.

Listen to ‘Burnt Out Star’ below.
