Iconic string surfer Joe Satriani has announced plans to return down under to shred our socks off before the year is out.
Satch will be hitting our shores for a theatre tour this November and December, bringing his virtuosic fingers to some of the nation’s finest concert halls in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane.
And trust us, you’re going to want to be sitting down in those comfy theatre seats once Satch starts smoking up the fretboard.
It comes 30-years after his first ever Australian tour with Mick Jagger back in 1988 and marks his first visit since 2014, so you know it’s going to be epic.
The prolific guitar legend will also be coming armed with his whopping 16th solo studio album What Happens Next, described as his most emotional and straight-up rock record to date, which he recorded with Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer Chad Smith, Chickenfoot bandmate, Deep Purple bassist and longtime friend Glenn Hughes and producer Mike Fraser.
