UNIFY Gathering Drops Another Cryptic Lineup Teaser For 2019

UPDATE: UNIFY Gathering 2019 Lineup Announced

ORIGINAL STORY: Another day, another UNIFY Gathering lineup teaser.

Organisers of the Victorian heavy music festival have shared yet another hint about one of the acts on their 2019 lineup, after teasing a mystery “international artist” earlier this week.

Today, organisers shared an image of two emojis — a rose and a mountain — and some festival-goers think they may have cracked the code…

The consensus right now is that the image actually represents a thorn and a hill, or, more specifically, Melbourne band Thornhill, who have cheekily changed their name to ‘Rose Mountain’ on Twitter, while also playing dumb about the whole thing.

Today’s teaser comes after UNIFY organisers revealed that an “international artist” will be “playing one of their early 2000’s albums in full” at next year’s festival.

The 2019 UNIFY lineup is expected to be announced on Thursday, 9th August, but organisers have previously confirmed that a number of the acts listed on an “obviously fake” lineup poster are actually on the real lineup.

A second fake lineup poster emerged yesterday, with errors like the misspelling of While She Sleeps as “While She Shleeps” giving away its inauthenticity.

Last month, UNIFY organisers gave punters a first look at the festival’s new location, which will host the event over three days in January 2019.

The 2018 UNIFY Gathering lineup featured the likes of Parkway Drive, Architects, The Amity Affliction, Polaris, Hands Like Houses, Make Them Suffer and Tonight Alive.

Stay tuned to Music Feeds for the 2019 lineup as soon as it arrives.
