UPDATE: UNIFY Gathering 2019 Lineup Announced
ORIGINAL STORY: Organisers of Victoria’s UNIFY Gathering heavy music festival have now confirmed the first act on their highly anticipated lineup for 2019.
After sharing a teaser image of a trophy and a pair of eyes earlier today, Unified Music Group’s Luke Logemann has confirmed that Newcastle outfit Trophy Eyes are indeed performing at UNIFY Gathering 2019, off the back of their latest album The American Dream.
“Trophy Eyes released an incredible album on Friday, so we wanted to have them play a night time set at #UNIFY19 – consider this official and you should go get this record right now,” Logemann said.

In their own message to fans, Trophy Eyes said they “can’t wait” to perform at the festival.
The band’s inclusion on the 2019 UNIFY lineup comes after frontman John Floreani told Music Feeds that Trophy Eyes will be playing some festivals they “don’t normally play” this summer.

Meanwhile, Melbourne metal outfit Ocean Grove have also teased their possible involvement in UNIFY Gathering’s 2019 roster, after replying to a fan’s Instagram question with a reference to a classic scene from The Simpsons.

Today’s Trophy Eyes confirmation comes after UNIFY Gathering organisers teased another act over the weekend, after dropping a bunch of other teasers last week.

Last month, UNIFY organisers gave punters a first look at the festival’s new location, which will host the event over three days in January 2019.
The 2019 UNIFY lineup is expected to be announced on Thursday, 9th August, but organisers have previously confirmed that a number of the acts listed on an “obviously fake” lineup poster are actually on the real lineup.
