Bring Me The Horizon Return With Monster New Single ‘Mantra’

UPDATE: Bring Me The Horizon have now announced a 2019 Australian Tour in support of their next album ‘amo’.

Bring Me The Horizon are BACK.

After teasing the world (including Sydney) with guerrilla street posters advertising a creepy new cult called ‘Mantra’ (yep, confirmed, that was their doing), the Sheffield metalcore graduates have now unleashed a rockin’ new banger upon the world dubbed — you guessed it — ‘Mantra’.

Kicking off with the now-familiar lyrics “Do you wanna start a cult with me?”, the band’s first new piece of music since 2015’s gamechanging album That’s The Spirit has a ‘Happy Song’-esque heavy groove but falls even more heavily on the pop spectrum, delivering hook upon hook with huge, sparking production.

This could be Top 40 potential, people. And that’s definitely not a bad thing. Because it still fkn SLAPS.

The arrival of ‘Mantra’ comes after BMTH frontman Oli Sykes confessed that he likes “the idea of breaking into the mainstream” with the band’s next LP.

“We’re not ashamed of that, we don’t see it as selling out,” Sykes said. “We see it as a great challenge, to make music that can be adored by more people but still retain who we are. That is the goal.”

And all you newly initiated BMTH Cultists can see if they’ve achieved that goal by taking ‘Mantra’ for a spin below.
