Slayer’s ‘Final World Tour’ Coming To Australia In 2019

UPDATE: Slayer have now been announced as part of Download Festival Australia’s 2019 lineup.

ORIGINAL STORY: It’s official — Slayer‘s huge ‘Final World Tour’ is coming to Australia in 2019, after making its way through North America, Latin America and Europe this year.

The thrash legends (who are currently touring with Lamb Of God and Anthrax on their last trip around the world) haven’t toured Australia in five years, but it looks like that while change soon enough.

In a statement posted to Facebook overnight, the band’s record label Nuclear Blast has revealed it will be Raining Blood in Australia in 2019.

“Plans are already underway for Slayer to take its Final World Tour to South America, Australia and Japan in 2019,” the label said.

“But there will be more, plenty more. 2019 is twelve months long, and the world is a big place. Additional tour legs will be announced soon.”

Speaking about the world tour, Slayer’s Kerry King said, “We always knew this tour would take us into 2019, and we’ve been blown away by the response we’ve been getting here in North America.

“We’ve heard about fans who have driven five, six hours, or flown in from other cities or countries to see us, so we want to assure our fans that we’ll be on the road through 2019 and will get to as many places around the world as possible to make it easier for everyone to come and see us one last time.”

Slayer last toured Australia in 2013 around Soundwave Festival, and released their 12th (and potentially final) album Repentless in 2015.

While the band haven’t announced any 2019 Australian dates just yet, stay tuned to Music Feeds for all the details as soon as the drop.
