Manowar Ask Australian Fans To Help Make Local Tour Happen

American metal veterans Manowar have asked Australian fans to help them make their way down under for a long overdue Aussie tour.

In a statement posted to Facebook and shared by Manowar, the band’s bassist Joey DeMaio urged local fans to contact touring company Metropolis Touring, in order to get things moving.

“As you know we’ve been looking for a serious promoter for many years so we can finally come to Australia,” he said.

“We are calling all Warriors to contact these people and let them know just how ass kicking and big Manowar is in Australia so we can finally come there and give you all the show you deserve and have waited so long [and] faithfully for.”

Ex-Manowar member Ross The Boss performed classic Manowar songs in Australia earlier this year, but the band are long overdue for an Australian tour.

Soundwave Festival promoter AJ Maddah said he would “try harder” to secure Manowar for the 2016 edition of the festival after missing them in 2015, but the festival famously collapsed ahead of its scheduled 2016 events.

Music Feeds has contacted Metropolis Touring for comment.

The next leg of Manowar’s ‘The Final Battle World Tour’ will begin in February 2019.
