Stereosonic Organisers’ New Event FestivalX Has Been Cancelled

Welp.

FestivalX, the new event organised by those behind the ill-fated Stereosonic, has apparently had the same destiny and has been cancelled, just under two months before it was scheduled to take place.

The festival made a brief announcement on their Facebook page, citing ‘last-minute changes in artist availability’ as the reason for its cancellation.

“Due to unforeseen last-minute changes in artist availability, the partners involved in FestivalX have agreed not to proceed with the 2018 event,” the statement reads.

“We set out to deliver the very best experience and the compromises to the proposed line-up did not meet the vision that we have for FestivalX.”

“More news will follow on our future plans for FestivalX.”

The festival was scheduled to take place across three dates in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this coming November and December.

While no lineup was announced, it was said in an official statement that it did include “Grammy, Billboard and ARIA Award winners who have performed on major international stages across the world.”
