Ace Frehley Is “Absolutely” Up For Reuniting With KISS On Their Final Tour, If The Price Is Right

We could see the Spaceman reunite with his former KISS bandmates on their forthcoming final tour, but only if they pay up.

Ace Frehley has confirmed that, while he hasn’t been asked to take part, he would “absolutely” do it “for the right price”.

“The first year of that [first] reunion tour [in 1996], we grossed $215 million, and that was 20 years ago. So what would it be today, probably double that? Half a billion? I’m there,” he laughed in an interview with Yahoo.

“I know the fans want it to happen because of the comments on the Internet,” he continued. “Ninety percent of them overwhelmingly are saying, ‘Bring Ace back’.

“If Paul [Stanley] and Gene[Simmons] decide to put a deaf ear to the fans, I think it’s going to hurt their careers. But, you know, those guys always have done what they’ve felt like doing, even when it was not necessarily the best move.”

But the former Spaceman also adds that there’s “no bad blood” between he and his ex-bandmates. After all, he only recently toured Australia alongside Simmons and as part of Simmons’s Vault Experience, while Stanley appeared on his 2016 album, Origins Volume 1.

But while expressing interest in the KISS tour, Frehley also added that he’s “not chomping at the bit” to do another reunion tour, “because I’m having so much fun with my own band and recording records at home, and producing them, and writing them, and singing them… My career has been going up and up and up.”

Frehley — who first left KISS in 1982 before rejoining in 1996, and then exiting once again in 2002 after the conclusion of their first “farewell tour” — will release his new solo album Spaceman on Friday, 19th October.

Meanwhile, KISS have yet to announce the Australian leg of their End Of The Road World Tour’, but Gene “Demon’ Simmons did previously say the band were gearing up for a “spectacular” three-year world tour, which will hit all continents, which — as Australia is a continent — means Aussie fans won’t be missing out.
