Watch Members Of Nirvana Reunite For A Surprise Set At Foo Fighters’ Cal Jam Festival

Well, damn, what we would have given to be present at this one?

Foo Fighters‘ second annual Cal Jam music festival went down over the weekend, and punters were treated to an absolutely bloody special experience – a Nirvana reunion with some very special guests.

Krist Novoselic, Dave Grohl and Pat Smear closed this year’s festival with a six song encore set that would be the stuff of legends. On top of that, they were joined by Joan Jett and Deer Tick’s John McCauley on vocals, who helmed three songs each.

Jett performed ‘Breed’, ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ and ‘All Apologies’, while McCauley performed ‘Serve the Servants’, ‘Scentless Apprentice’ and ‘In Bloom’.

This is the first time either of these artists have performed with Nirvana, having both played with the legendary grunge band during the ceremony for their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2014. Dave Grohl recently hinted that the performance footage will possibly be released.
