PREMIERE: Mosquito Coast Share Beautifully Eerie Experimental Video For ‘Skipping Girl’

Perth dream pop pair Mosquito Coast have brought their recent dreamy single ‘Skipping Girl’ to life with some spectacularly arthouse visuals.

Teaming up with Melbourne’s new queens of experimental film, HIBALL, the duo of Naomi Robinson and Conor Barton have created a stunningly illustrated storybook of a music video, unfolding in shot after shot of beautiful yet eerie tableaus.

“Drawing on the surreal work of American photographer, Gregory Crewdson and the considered emotive films of Celia Rowlson-Hall, the video explores the song’s core subjects in a series of surreal contrasting moments that touch on the complexities of home, family, love, tension, and memory,” reads a statement from the band’s representatives.
