Lou Reed Metallica Collaboration Album Cover and Track Names

The album cover for the Lou Reed Metallica Collaboration has been revealed taking on visual inspiration from German expressionist writer Frank Wedekind’s ‘Lulu’ plays. Two more track names have also been released, 3. Frustration and 7. Litte Dog.

News of the collaboration started back in June when James Hetfield and Lou Reed spoke to Rolling Stone about the upcoming project.

“Lars and I listened to the stuff and it was like, Wow, this is very different. Hetfield said of Reed’s demos, It was scary at first, because the music was so open. But then I thought, ‘This could go anywhere.’”

“A marriage made in heaven,” Reed said “I knew it from the first day we played together: ‘Oh, man, this is perfection, right in front of me.'”

Earlier in the month, a website was launched at loureedmetallica.com, with information on the progress of the album, and release dates.

The album is due for release in Australia around the 31st of October.
