Raggamuffin 2012 Reggae Festival Cancelled

The Raggamuffin Reggae Music Festival has been cancelled for next year, but promises to be back in 2013 bigger and better than ever. A number of acts from the festival will still be doing a theatre tour.

A statement on the Festival website reads:

“We are concentrating on building the New Zealand leg of Raggamuffin into a massive two day festival. With 30,000 people attending the New Zealand shows in previous years, we are looking to double this in coming years. This growth will enable us to return to Australia in 2013 bigger and better than ever.”

Refunds for tickets are available from point of purchase.

This comes after the cancellation of the Great Southern Blues Festival and the cancellation of the Funk ‘n Grooves festival earlier this year. While a bigger festival, Soundwave Revolution wasn’t immune to the bad economic climate, also being cancelled early last month.
