Scissor Sisters Recording New Album

Scissor Sisters have announced they’re working on album number four.

The New York falsetto-disco quartet revealed that their follow-up to 2010’s Night Work will see them going back to the catchy singles and eclectic fun of their first two albums.

Speaking to NME last week, Ana Matronic said: “Night Work was the most cohesive album we’ve done whereas the others were a bit of a grab bag.” The singer added that “this might be going back to being like that. We sometimes say we should do a concept album but we are a concept, we have a philosophy of what we do. We’re stupid – that’s our concept! We spend a lot of time on the road but whenever we’re home we’re hard at it. We have a lot of music. We wanna get it out asap.”

Scissor Sisters have released three top 10 charting albums and became a mainstream success after number one single I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’ in 2006.
