Sand Pebbles & Black Cab Announce Phoenix Public House Show

It didn’t take much for Sand Pebbles to sell out their Album Launch at Northcote Social Club at the end of September with Amaya Laucirica and Lost Animal, so they decided to do an encore show and hit up new Melbourne venue Phoenix Public House, which has pleasantly transformed The Spot (formerly of salsa nights and bad haircuts) to a 300-capacity band room and classy front bar.

Generally described as ‘flower-punk’, Sand Pebbles have been busy with their new album Dark Magic (explained track-by-track at Mess & Noise) and their launch tour, with upcoming shows in Canberra with Sun Blindness, in Sydney with Sun Blindness and Astral Kaleidoscope, in Brisbane with Black Cab, Richard In Your Mind and more at the Eight Miles High Festival and at Hobart with Hey Mook!

It’s a cornucopia of cosmic psychedelic delights, really, and the show on this coming Saturday night will give Melburnians a chance to check out what is looking to become one of the best new venues in town with Black Cab doing an ‘analogue’ set and Cosmic Skydome, a side-project of The Ovals, opening the show.

Tickets are on sale now from Moshtix
